Indications:

Colon irritable with flatulence, feelings of bloating and fullness, diffuse abdominal pain or cramping, constipation, diarrhea or alternating the two. Bloating associated with enzyme deficiencies, and dyspepsia aerofagia due to fermentation or putrefaction. Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a component, narrow-angle glaucoma, severe intestinal atony.

Adverse reactions:

Dry mouth, visual accommodation disorders, tachycardia and, rarely, nausea or abdominal pain. These effects are usually mild, replying to a dose reduction.

Interactions:

The effect of anticholinergic methixine can be increased by concomitant use of amantadine, quinidine, or cyclic antidepressants, and reduced by concomitant use of antacids. Administered concomitantly, pancreatin can reduce iron absorption.

Warnings:

tabs contains the anticholinergic methixine and should, therefore, be used with caution in prostatic hypertrophy associated with micturition disorders. Although there has been no adverse reaction on the fetus during pregnancy and lactation, Bitabs only be administered under medical prescription. Bitabs must be out of reach of children.
