Indications:

This drug is indicated as adjunct therapy in gastro intestinal disorders characterized by smooth muscle spasm such as : Gastro intestinal colic. Biliary colic. Rival colic. Gastro Intestinal spasm & hypermotility. Biliary dyskinesia. Spastic constipation. Delayed relaxation of lower uterine segment. Dysmenorrhoea. Post operative vomiting. Spasm assowated with gastric & Duodenal ulcers.

Contraindications:

is contraindicated in persons who are hypersensitive to the drug or to other belladonna alkaloids, or to any ingredient or component in the formulation Narrow-angle glaucoma.

Adverse reactions:

No adverse effects similar to atropine are observed on salivary glands or sweat secretion when it is administered in the recommended dose, but high doses may cause dryness of mouth and skin, dilatation of pupils, flushing, palpitation and drowsiness.

Interactions:

* Ambenonium * Cisapride * Potassium Chloride

Warnings:

The use of the drug should be with caution in cases of urinary retention, prostatic enlargement, cardiac insufficiency, ulcerative colitis and in elderly patients. No evidence of teratogenic effect was present while its usage during pregnancy, however, the usual precautions regarding the use of drugs during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, should be observed. During lactation, safety has not yet been established.
