Contraindications:

IBD (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease), intestinal obstruction or subobstruction , abdominal pain syndromes of unknown cause. - Fecal impaction. Due to the presence of sucrose, this drug is contraindicated in cases of fructose intolerance, malabsorption of glucose and galactose or sucrase-isomaltase.

Adverse reactions:

Possibility of abdominal distension. - Cases of bezoars, often requiring the completion of an endoscopy, have been reported in elderly patients showed some impairment of esophageal motility. - Due to the presence of yellow FCF (E 110), risk of allergic reactions

Warnings:

In case of megacolon by alteration of colonic motility and in patients confined to bed, the prescription must be cautious (risk of fecal impaction).
