Indications: Painful and inflammatory conditions e.g. headache, dysmenorrhea, dental pain, traumatic pain, post-operatively, gouty pain and soft tissue disorders. Rheumatic pain, musculoskeletal and joint disorders e.g. ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, sciatica and rheumatoid arthritis. Also in peri-articular disorders, such as bursitis and tendinitis Febrile conditions e.g. tonsillitis and pharyngitis . |

Contraindications: Patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Active peptic ulcer. Patients in whom bronchospasm is precipitated by aspirin or other NSAIDs . |

Adverse reactions: Mild gastro-intestinal side effects that can be reduced by taking the drug with meals. |

Interactions: The pharmacological activity of Ketoprofen immediate-release capsules and Ketoprofen extended-release capsules in reducing fever and inflammation may diminish the utility of these diagnostic signs in detecting complications of presumed noninfectious, painful conditions. Ketoprofen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cause nephritis in mice and rats associated with chronic administration. Rare cases of interstitial nephritis or nephrotic syndrome have been reported in humans with Ketoprofen since it has been marketed. |
