Indications: pain reliever,used in the treatment of mild to moderate pain, and for reducing fever. |

Contraindications: hypersensitivity to any of the components. |

Adverse reactions: dizziness, light-headedness, feeling, faint, sleepiness, nausea or vomiting, vision disturbance, unusual tiredness or weakness, insomnia, constipation, stomach cramps, painful urination, redness or swelling at the place of injection, nightmares, a false sense of well-being, dry mouth, headache, or malaise. You may also experience the less common side effects of dark urine, bloody, black or tarry stools, white spots on lips or mouth, sore throat, pain in your lower back or side, jaundice, irregular heartbeat, restlessness, tremor or uncontrolled movements, sweating, irregular breathing, facial swelling, ringing in the ears, flushing, depression or mood swings, pale stools, or hallucinations. Taking too much Talvosilen can be dangerous, and you should get emergency help immediately if you experience cold or clammy skin, severe weakness, confusion, slow heartbeat, severe drowsiness, pinpoint pupils, low blood pressure, liver or kidney damage, or severe restlessness or nervousness. |

Interactions: Enhanced depressant effects with alcohol, anaesthetics, anxiolytics, hypnotics, TCAs, antipsychotics. Possible CNS depression or excitation with MAOIs. May alter effects of other compounds e.g. cyclizine, mexiletine, cisapride, metoclopramide and domperidone. |

Warnings: if you have ever had alcoholic liver disease (cirrhosis). You may not be able to take medication that contains acetaminophen. *asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, or other breathing disorders; * liver or kidney disease; *a history of head injury or brain tumor; *epilepsy or other seizure disorder; *low blood pressure; * a stomach or intestinal disorder; *underactive thyroid; *Addison’s disease or other adrenal gland disorder; *enlarged prostate, urination problems; *curvature of the spine; * mental illness; or *a history of drug or alcohol addiction. pregnancy and lactation: It is not known whether this medication is harmful to an unborn baby, but it could cause breathing problems or addiction/withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication.. Acetaminophen and codeine can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. The use of codeine by some nursing mothers may lead to life-threatening side effects in the baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. |
