Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in children and infants in addition to oral rehydration and adults. Symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea. * Processing of symptomatic pain associated with ailments Esogastroduodenal and colic.


Hypersensitivity to diosmectite or any excipients. • Due to the presence of glucose and sucrose, this drug is cons-indicated in patients with fructose intolerance.

Adverse reactions:

These side effects were usually minor and transient intensity and mainly involved the gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal disorders: Common: Constipation usually yielding to dosage reduction but may in rare cases lead to discontinuation of treatment. Uncommon: flatulence, vomiting. In marketing, cases of hypersensitivity reactions (frequency not known) including hives, rash, pruritus and angioedema have been reported. Cases of worsening constipation have also been reported.


The absorption properties of the product may interfere with the time and / or absorption of other substances


The diosmectite should be used with caution in patients with a history of severe chronic constipation. In children, the treatment of acute diarrhea should be done in combination with earlyadministration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration. In adults, the treatment does not relieve a rehydration if it proves necessary. The importance of rehydration or oral rehydration solution intravenously should be adjusted according to the intensity of diarrhea, age and circumstances of the patient. The patient should be informed of the need to: · Be rehydrated by heavy drinks, salty or sweet, to compensate for fluid loss from diarrhea (average daily intake of water for adults is 2 liters) · To maintain the supply time of diarrhea: o excluding certain inputs, particularly raw vegetables, fruits, green vegetables, spicy foods, and foods or beverages icy o emphasis on grilled meats and rice.
